Pros

Berkshire can best be described as a well-tuned machine, and our leadership, with input from our onsite teams, is always looking for ways to improve. If you love a fast-paced environment, this company is for you! Our employees are important to us, and if they show hunger to learn, we do our best to support this. Berkshire is very goal oriented, and not just for the business, but for each individual employee. We want all of our employees to be striving for goals in every area of their life, and this is supported by a really cool program that allows team members to set personal goals, and break it down into steps and monitor those achievements. Berkshire offers very competitive pay and benefits. Some people think the grass is greener elsewhere and fail to see the big picture of the total compensation package, including bonuses and 401k match. Even the HSA is matched to a certain point. I feel Berkshire is invested in the well-being of every employee. I also feel Berkshire enjoys celebrating their employees and showing appreciation.

Cons

This is a very fast-paced environment, and we are dealing with many residents that can be rude and inconsiderate. That's the nature of property management. If you lack integrity, this company is not for you. If you have passive-aggressive tendencies when being held accountable, Berkshire is not for you.

Pros

Good company and culture. Awesome group of people. Good benefits and PTO package.

Cons

Recently they have been cutting positions for the onsite teams which is leaving minimal in person front line support which communities really need. This is putting a lot of stress and pressure on the onsite teams and is impacting work life balance which is something that Berkshire used to value more. Additionally, cutting positions does not give opportunities for growth.
