Pros

A lot of staff (Chefs / receptionists / F&B staff etc) are very nice people to work with, always answer questions you have. Chefs always offer good quality food. Customers are generally polite and give decent tips. Some managers were very friendly.

Cons

Drinks in particular are too expensive, when you're earning £5.60 an hour and a bottle of Bulmers costs £6!!!!! Understaffed so naturally you end up working a lot of hours with little time off. Underpaid: working on minimum wage doesn't represent effort Can feel very unorganised at times Managers expect a lot from younger staff Consecutive weeks of working Friday / Saturday / Sunday kills any social life Took job mainly for bar work but many evenings I was in restaurant with sole purpose of polishing cutlery / crockery which I appreciate has to get done, but was very boring. Some managers gave orders with no please or thank you which wore thin very quickly.

Pros

Ever-changing events . Something new ever day.

Cons

You work with individuals who have a level of entitlement of thinking the this and that is theirs. That's t heir space, this is their drawer. You can't do "xyz" but constantly asking you to be in said space while your job is at the front desk . Not not the kitchen. Not the laudryroom or washroom. The entire things is crazy.
