Pros
Working at Best Western was hands-down one of the worst job experiences I’ve ever had. Let me be clear: there are absolutely no pros to working here. None. Not the pay, not the environment, not the management — nothing. The most basic thing any job should offer is a lunch break — time to eat, breathe, reset. At Best Western, that didn’t exist. I was expected to work full shifts without any official break. No lunch. No real support. Just constant work with the expectation to “figure it out” if I got hungry. When I brought up the issue, management brushed it off like it was normal to run on empty. It's not. This place treats employees like they’re disposable, not like human beings with basic needs. If you’re thinking of working here, save yourself the mental and physical drain. This job gave nothing but stress, exhaustion, and the clear message that your well-being doesn't matter.
Cons
I worked at Best Western and was genuinely shocked by how little regard management had for employee well-being. One of the most basic rights as a worker—a lunch break—was constantly ignored. I regularly worked full shifts without being offered or allowed a proper break to eat, rest, or even breathe for a minute. This wasn’t a one-time thing—it was the norm. When I brought it up, I was met with dismissiveness or told to “grab something quick if you can,” as if taking five minutes to eat was too much to ask. This kind of treatment shows a complete lack of respect for staff and basic labor laws. If you're considering working here, don’t—unless you enjoy being overworked and undervalued. Employees are treated like robots, not people.
