Pros
Get to say you work for the worlds largest hotel chain.
Cons
The company leaders at the top are not good leaders and this trickles down the entire company. Insurance benefits are deplorable - only catastrophic insurance with high deductibles available. Only 7 holidays per year. This company used to be fantastic unfortunately that has changed in the 15 years I have been here. There are no promotions unless you threaten to leave, then you worth is realized. I know people get on glassdoor when they are disgruntled and want to complain. I am still an employee here, I just want people to know the truth about this place nothing more, nothing less. I would honestly only take it as a last resort. No work life balance. Employees are just that and can be replaced. You have two bosses the hotel owners and then the boss at work. Not a franchise business model. Each hotel is a member - its a membership based organization. No tools to do your job. Technology to do your job is OLD and wont spend money to upgrade. Leaders do not cultivate employees. There is no management training programs to grow in your career. The laptops are refreshed every 4 years and the company has no internal tools to run analytics. The sales team cannot even track sales properly. All reports are home grown and cumbersome. No BI tools. No elevators in building at the Biltmore location. After a round of layoffs the senior VP team all got promoted to officers of the company - honestly poor timing in most employees eyes to do so oh and right before Christmas. Just an honest assessment for those interested. Ask any HQ employee if they are happy, see for yourself.
