Pros

The company is decently well managed, and the benefits are good. There's good work-life balance, and the coworkers are generally pretty nice to work with. Working here you'll get experience and exposure to all facets and stages of projects -- from concept to construction. This place is great to gain experience and allows you to see the "big" picture since you'll be doing everything.

Cons

Projects are "boring". It's a mid-sized firm doing municipal and DOT work, so the projects are small and range from the <$20M range. The company overly penny pinches to a point where it hurts productivity. Pay is OK, but not great.

Pros

It is truly local, with some nice, well-meaning people throughout all offices, and I like that they mostly do municipal projects rather than working with developers. I believe the quality of the services is good across service areas.

Cons

It takes 6 years to become a full "employee owner". Lots of turnover makes building relationships/networking frustrating. Seniority is huge here. Management is very reactive in general and transparency is low.
