Pros
There were a few good preceptors which was relevant for my being new to nursing. The staff genuinely cared about the residents in the nursing home side who weren't dementia ridden. The gardens and lake were nice and accessible
Cons
There were so many problems, from preceptors who didn't guide me as a new nurse but made me feel excluded and just expected me to do their jobs while they went and smoked to the cliques that formed who would disappear on the job, to understaffing. There was stuff being documented that never happened eg cardiorespiratory assessments (noone would ever even carry a stethoscope). There was definitely systemic racism starting with an all black CNA staff leading up to mostly male all white top corporate leadership.
