The biggest challenge was reporting to two managers (Sarah and Ginger) who frequently disagreed with each other. This left me caught in the middle, receiving conflicting instructions and feedback on a regular basis. There was a high level of micromanagement and, at times, I was spoken to like a child rather than a professional adult. For example, I was often questioned about how long inspections were taking, even though the issues were usually due to incomplete work by the housekeeping. Other major issues included: Inconsistent hours with very little notice or predictability. No flexibility with PTO — requests were often denied or heavily discouraged regardless of notice given. Significant driving between properties with no mileage reimbursement or compensation for travel time. The lack of clear processes, consistent expectations, and basic support made an already physically demanding job much more stressful than it needed to be.
