Over my first year as a Certified Debt Specialist, I committed myself to mastering the process, understanding the metrics, and most importantly, making a genuine impact on the lives of the clients I serve. Through consistency, accountability, and a results-driven mindset, I was able to not only hit performance expectations but exceed them, which ultimately opened the door for advancement into a management opportunity. What separates success in this role is discipline. You have to set reasonable expectations for yourself, take ownership of your performance, and show up every single day prepared to serve at a high level. This is not a position where talent alone carries you. Growth comes from self-awareness, coachability, and the willingness to improve daily. This organization creates real opportunity for those who are serious about personal and professional development. If you are ready to challenge yourself, build better habits, and hold yourself accountable, there is unlimited potential here. However, if you bring old habits from previous roles and resist feedback or structure, you will be held accountable. Standards matter because the work we do changes lives. I am proud of the growth I’ve achieved in my first year and grateful for the opportunity to step into leadership. The culture here rewards performance, consistency, and integrity. If you are willing to evolve, commit to the process, and show up with the right mindset, this is a place where you can truly build a career not just hold a job.

Pros

Beyond Finance truly stands behind its leadership team and agents. There is a strong support system in place, and upper management genuinely listens to feedback and provides resources necessary for us to succeed. Whether an employee or client opportunity... one doesn't outweigh the other and are both equally important here at Beyond. The collaborative environment makes it incredibly rewarding to coach and mentor team members, helping them develop their skills and hit their performance goals.

Pros

Good pay and benefits, remote.

Cons

Horrible training. It's disjointed and hard to follow, basically consisting of a handful of PowerPoint presentations; no mock calls, limited shadowing, or anything else you would anticipate as part of contact center training. There are NO standardized SOPs. No centralized resources or knowledge management system. Extreme micromanaging. If you are 16 minutes 'idle' you get a disciplinary point ('idle' is measured by phone calls and moving to new accounts, NOT keystrokes, mouse clicks, or any sensible metric). The primary metric is hours on the phone. However, you, the employee, cannot see your total call time on the soft phone system. I was told contradictory information as to how this was measured. In fact, leadership was extremely cagey when questioned about metric calculations, going so far as to tell me "there isn't really a formula," for MATH. There is ZERO positive culture. You can't take even a moment to get to know your coworkers.
