Pros
Bigcommerce is ramping up in a big way and I'm very happy to have been playing a part in that. I feel management is very transparent and really do care about all their employees. The office is great and we get tons of food (some healthy and some not so healthy). The work-life balance is what you make of it. There is no pressure to work long hours, but if you are the type of person that loves doing what you do, then they will support you (i.e. paying for taxis, buying dinner). If you are successful in what you are doing, you will be rewarded. The CEO's Mitch & Eddie are great guys and very personable. They always have time to chat. The same goes with West, our CPO. The board (Steve Case, Larry Bohn, CEOs, etc) have a very clear vision of the future of Bigcommerce and it's very clearly communicated to all employees.
Cons
When I first started, it was a bit frustrating with the levels of management put in place, but now that there is no org structure for the Engineers, I feel like I am less blocked and can get more done.
