Pros

The company fosters a collaborative culture where diverse perspectives are valued, and employees are encouraged to bring their ideas forward. Bio-Rad's size offers the resources of a large organization while still maintaining connection across teams.

Cons

In recent years, Bio-Rad has undergone a significant cultural shift — moving away from the more balanced, employee-centered environment many long-tenured staff were accustomed to toward a faster-paced, results-driven culture that some find more demanding and less supportive. Long-time employees have noted that institutional knowledge and loyalty are not always recognized or rewarded under newer leadership. There have been instances where seasoned staff with deep historical knowledge of the company were let go when their working styles didn't align with incoming managers — a loss that can quietly erode organizational memory and morale. The increased emphasis on performance metrics and profitability has left some employees feeling that the human side of the business has taken a back seat. What was once a company known for stability and work-life balance now feels, to some, more transactional. For those who thrive in a high-pressure, change-heavy environment, Bio-Rad may still be a good fit. But employees who valued the company's earlier culture may find the current direction at odds with what originally drew them there.

Pros

I love my co workers and the ability to make my customers happy. Benefits are alright and I do like the products.

Cons

Modern marketing is non existent and the company has been taken over by sweater vest tech bros who feel phony at best. This company is too large to innovate or be nimble, yet too small to acquire new things to sell. Salaries are just so low now that I might need to leave, then come back just to get a pay raise. I’m seeing similar jobs posted for 20% more base than I make 10 years in. No transparency on advancements and annual raises do not reflect effort and making too close to plan on sales just sets you up for failure in the next year. I’d say use this company for a few years then move on.
