Pros

Relatively secure Conservative thinking means they won't make any huge, risky gambles Small enough that you will often get exposure to a lot of different areas Global company, which can introduce an interesting and challenging dynamic

Cons

Being conservative means that they will sometimes be unwilling to take a chance on committing to something and by the time they do, it is often too late Limited resources for R&D results in tough compromises Limited IP portfolio can limit the areas that they can enter into and add extra financial burden to products

Pros

I love my co workers and the ability to make my customers happy. Benefits are alright and I do like the products.

Cons

Modern marketing is non existent and the company has been taken over by sweater vest tech bros who feel phony at best. This company is too large to innovate or be nimble, yet too small to acquire new things to sell. Salaries are just so low now that I might need to leave, then come back just to get a pay raise. I’m seeing similar jobs posted for 20% more base than I make 10 years in. No transparency on advancements and annual raises do not reflect effort and making too close to plan on sales just sets you up for failure in the next year. I’d say use this company for a few years then move on.
