Pros

1. Good work - Life balance. 2, Current manager hands off and very pragmatic. 3, Good recognition program for years of service beginning at the 5 year anniversary. 4. Very good knowledgeable people working at this company, especially many of the long term employees (15+ years). 5. Very good training offerings that align with one's position both on-site and off. 6. Current manager very liberal about participation in vendor supplied off-site training if offering is aligned with your current position. 7. Lots of international travel with good experience working with Bio-Rad employees abroad.

Cons

1. Diffiicult to get things done with current management. Lots of discussion and not much action. 2. Very slow to change. 3. Very poor (non existent) career guidance management program except for only a few that management perceives as rising stars. 4, Extremely challenging to change perceptions of upper management regarding one's capabiltiies and working relationships with others no matter what you do. If you get a bum rap, best to look elsewhere to advance your career.

Pros

I love my co workers and the ability to make my customers happy. Benefits are alright and I do like the products.

Cons

Modern marketing is non existent and the company has been taken over by sweater vest tech bros who feel phony at best. This company is too large to innovate or be nimble, yet too small to acquire new things to sell. Salaries are just so low now that I might need to leave, then come back just to get a pay raise. I’m seeing similar jobs posted for 20% more base than I make 10 years in. No transparency on advancements and annual raises do not reflect effort and making too close to plan on sales just sets you up for failure in the next year. I’d say use this company for a few years then move on.
