We feel that we are a tight-knit community, and we appreciate you mentioning that. There's no way to sugar coat it: Layoffs are difficult and unfortunate. While we've done our best to provide severance and other support to those that were impacted, we recognize that it will always be seen as not "not good enough." Global economic conditions impact Bio-Rad and the rest of our industry and we had to make some difficult decisions to ensure the long-term success of the company. We're confident that we're on the right path, but that doesn't make the decisions that had to be made any less challenging.

Pros

I love my co workers and the ability to make my customers happy. Benefits are alright and I do like the products.

Cons

Modern marketing is non existent and the company has been taken over by sweater vest tech bros who feel phony at best. This company is too large to innovate or be nimble, yet too small to acquire new things to sell. Salaries are just so low now that I might need to leave, then come back just to get a pay raise. I’m seeing similar jobs posted for 20% more base than I make 10 years in. No transparency on advancements and annual raises do not reflect effort and making too close to plan on sales just sets you up for failure in the next year. I’d say use this company for a few years then move on.
