Pros

The people within the labs and support teams are great and fun to work with. Subsidized vending machines.

Cons

CEO was anonymously asked "Why don't you want us to be happy" in a recent town hall and that pretty much sums up the current environment. - CEO has repeatedly stated his intent on removing work from home and hour flexibility. If it's in your current or future offer letter, that part is most likely going to be rescinded in the near future. He wants you present in the office regardless of whether your position can be done fully remote or not. - Bonuses are potentially 50% or zero for 2023 because the former management were overly optimistic about revenue so the workers are being punished as we can't magically produce another 40 million in revenue when the entire industry is in a downturn. - Company previously had two promotion cycles in a year but it was suddenly reduced to one and we were only told two days before the anticipated fall promotions were to be announced. - Any promotions that made it through (no idea why some workers were promoted secretly and most of the company denied promotions) have been low balled in compensation (in some cases several thousand below others at the same level and no retention bonus for scientist and above for those promoted under the new management - this is THOUSANDS of dollars in expected compensation suddenly gone). - Company is moving to a merit based pay system in 2023 which will allow them to low ball every single new hire and promotion they can. To all future and current employees: TALK TO EACH OTHER ABOUT YOUR COMPENSATION, INCLUDING THE "CONFIDENTIAL" BONUSES. - Company culture is in extreme decline and feels like a hostile environment to employees. Essentially we are being told nothing is going to be done to improve work life balance or employee compensation so if you're not happy, just leave. - Traditional gifts / incentives to employees removed (no christmas gifts, no holiday parties, removed a lunch stipend through Relish, no team lunches on the company, no team building, etc.) - Scientists and salaried workers are expected to work well over 40 hours per week with no additional compensation. Middle management teams are also expected to put in extremely long hours but this does seem to vary from team to team. - Extreme stress and burnout are rampant in the lab. Current turn over is estimated to be around 20%. Some are now using this company as a stop gap to simply make a wage in between other opportunities and have no intention of making a career here.

Pros

BioAgilytix offers an excellent work-life balance and a supportive, collaborative culture. Management is approachable, genuinely cares about employees, and creates a positive work environment. The Boston leadership team is exceptional—they are supportive, communicative, and foster teamwork across departments. Everyone is willing to help one another, making it a great place to work and grow professionally.

Cons

The Boston site would benefit from having more on-site HR support to better address employee needs.
