Pros

I was paid more than others, but still grossly under market value.

Cons

My time with Biotrack/Alleaves was short due to coming from an acquisition from another company. I was initially very excited about the change up and genuinely looked forward to the opportunity to be productive, and work with a leadership team that had more than just an exit strategy in mind. I was disappointed how painfully slow any integration between companies happened. We were promised new job descriptions etc, and after 6 months with no changes, I went somewhere else. What I learned quickly is that everyone of my new counterparts had been apart of this fear based and toxic work culture. Which was simply described like Game of Thrones. It made working with anyone incredibly difficult because they were solely focused on protecting their small corner of the world. The tone of every meeting I attended was one of silent frustration and implications. "Read in between the lines" and "Read the room" were phases that were often said by Leadership to silence opinions and kept people pitted against each other with unclear expectations. This is something I learned was true for every department I had a chance to talk with. The most appalling thing I witnessed during my short stay was when someone in a high executive position was talking "poop" about a co-worker saying "That person can't lead themselves out of a paper bag". I found that to be more a accurate assessment of leadership. The person they were talking about was the single most helpful person I worked with, because they knew was it was like to be out on an island with no direction or support. When things were communicated to HR we all had to take some harassment quiz. Which felt like putting a band-aid on after being mauled by a shark. All of the technological problems aside, I found the company to not have a mission that I feel would move the cannabis industry forward.

Pros

The product that Biotrack acquired is working and sound. The team of developers from the acquired company has a great wealth of knowledge that can lead the product to success.

Cons

Depending on where you came from in the company, you may have different experiences but when you merge 3 companies into one, you'll expect rough patches, but leadership has no direction. Development is stagnant for all platforms because while the software is compliant for most markets, the onboarding team and the support team and development are in constant feedback loop where actionable items are not met successfully. Animosity between teams is a visible in their company slack and there seems to be a lack of business acumen with some of the employees where roles weren't defined and employees are stepping over each others words. Joint development of a new platform as started yet again. This will be the 2nd platform they've started to plan but fail to deliver. BioTrack has a bottle neck of issues stemming from client support, client onboarding, to QA and development Planning. CSM agents with no acumen to succeed in their roles
