Since 2022 peak, C-Level executives figured it's too expensive to care about employee satisfaction. It has been leaked that the CEO's theory to running a successful company is to create "friction" between teams. Here is the layout of what to experience as an AE: 1. SDR's set meetings for you. SDR's aren't trained to actually qualify the lead. Just to confirm they have a pulse. 2. Then you, as an AE, are expected to close 30% of those "hot" leads. Maybe you do manage to get a good conversion rate and close. 3. Then you're responsible for keeping the customer happy through the onboarding process (or else you get a clawback) where onboarding is trying their best to weed out the less ideal customers so we can technically keep our net retention rates up. 4. You realize you lose all motivation. And there is also, 0 career progression at this company.
