Pros
Great people. That's so much of what Bishop Museum is. It's a great place in a great place. This is the hub of REAL cultural history in Hawaii. Progress is definitely happening on improving the institution. And that's great.
Cons
When you work at a place that could easily be so much more, it's tough. The pay is less than stellar and you can find better with their counterparts in other states where the cost of living is far less. There's a relatively high turnover in education b/c of this. Everyone eventually goes on to better pay as a school teacher or finds better pay at Disney. Good luck moving up any ladders, you'll be here for 10 years before you do. But, that's what happens when you work at a place like this. People don't like to and don't want to leave. That's mostly a good thing.
