Pros
I have worked with Bitfocus for a little over a year, and I still feel that passion and excitement as I start work every day. In the last year, there have been a lot of positive changes have taken place. There are new policies, procedures, additional training and growth opportunities, as well as new benefits. Over the course of this last year, I have seen Bitfocus go above and beyond in taking care of their employees. Here are some of those specifics: - Increased PTO to 3 weeks for new employees - $500 work-from-home benefit to get new office supplies - 401k match - Training opportunities with Certifications - Sick time was increased from 3 days to 5 days - Added 2 additional Holidays - Monthly $75 stipend for phone or internet service. During this year the CEO randomly sent everyone a Starbucks giftcard. We were also given the week off between Christmas and New Years, without needing to use our PTO. I am continually blown away by the care, kindness, and passion I encounter on a daily basis from my co-workers. Bitfocus is a great place to work, and I would recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat.
Cons
This is not really a con, more of a consideration. Bitfocus is a grassroots company that grew very rapidly. People Ops (HR) has done an amazing job keeping up with the growth, but some other aspects of the company are still catching up. There have been a lot of changes this year, all positive changes in my opinion. But, if you are considering working with Bitfocus I would keep this in mind if you are someone who does not do well with change. Also, all positions are remote, so that is something to consider as well for those who prefer an office setting.
