Pros

Some of the smartest and kindest people around, depending on what team you work with. Generally an interesting product, barring the actual core offering.

Cons

Leadership is regularly overwhelmed and in the weeds. You're often left on an island and expected to figure it out, and more often than not that turns into a negative on you when you find your answer isn't what the team wants to hear. Expect your manager to ignore you regularly, and expect extra work out of you when the deadlines come near. Almost a laughable distrust in anything the executives or management say after multiple target misses. Particularly hard to believe what is coming out of anyone's mouth when they'll preach that the company is on track even though much of the work that's going on behind the scenes shows clearly why it is not. Multiple round of layoffs in a short period. Blowing up important teams isn't exactly a pathway to growth.

Pros

- Lots of opportunities for cross-functional work/working with senior-level SMEs - EOY Bonus (usually) - Great benefits (Flexible PTO policy/stipends)

Cons

- Exec suite does not care about you! - Pay is not competitive; was paid significantly less relative to market for experience (didn't realize this until too late, mgmt wouldn't adjust salary either) - No cost-of-living raises over the 2 years I worked there (No raise at all, ever, actually! And no support to be promoted from within) - Layoffs occur twice a year, and everyone is replaceable
