Pros

Remote position, and that's about it.

Cons

The management on the Order Operations team consisted of 3 people, which is bizarre to have 3 managers, but once I realized the Order Operations team did orders, quoting, commissions, collections, and worked with provisioning I was like oh ok. How is ONE team doing ALL that? What a cheap-out way to run things. The 3 managers were these angry uptight human beings who micromanaged everyone to a T. Right after I started, they implemented a workflow where tasks (all kinds of them!) got auto routed to you, no matter how overworked you were. During month/quarter/year end we all had to stay online until midnight or later, in case ONE order would happen to come in. These managers didn't have lives and didn't want us to have one either. Such a bizarre and toxic experience. Bitsight has since laid dozens of staff, quite a few from Order Management I see, but kept the three micro-managers. Hopefully they have to do all that nonsense now!

Pros

- Lots of opportunities for cross-functional work/working with senior-level SMEs - EOY Bonus (usually) - Great benefits (Flexible PTO policy/stipends)

Cons

- Exec suite does not care about you! - Pay is not competitive; was paid significantly less relative to market for experience (didn't realize this until too late, mgmt wouldn't adjust salary either) - No cost-of-living raises over the 2 years I worked there (No raise at all, ever, actually! And no support to be promoted from within) - Layoffs occur twice a year, and everyone is replaceable
