Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We appreciate your acknowledgment of the collaborative environment within our team.
That said, several points in your review warrant clarification. The allegations regarding leadership conduct, professional boundaries, and PTO practices are unfounded and do not reflect the standards or day-to-day reality of our workplace. We hold clear expectations for professionalism, and after reviewing the concerns you referenced, we found nothing to substantiate them.
Our decision not to introduce a dedicated HR role at this stage is deliberate, as it allows employees to address concerns directly with decision-makers rather than through a separate administrative layer. This structure has proven more responsive, respectful, and transparent for our team.
We understand that the shift from an academic environment to a professional one can be challenging, which is precisely why we emphasize proactive communication and accountability; both of which are non-negotiable in a real-world setting. Unlike academic environments, professional teams cannot operate on the assumption that all information will be prepackaged or provided unprompted. Employees are expected to identify gaps, ask questions, and actively engage with available resources. This is a standard expectation in any high-performing organization. Those who take ownership adapt quickly; those who do not may understandably struggle. We provide the tools and access needed for success, but the initiative to use them must come from the individual.
We stand by the integrity of our leadership and the professionalism of our workplace. While we appreciate the opportunity to correct these inaccuracies, the portrayal in your review does not align with the experiences of our team or the culture we work to maintain.
We anticipated that any challenges you encountered would be communicated directly to us, especially given the respect and support consistently extended to you by management. It is unfortunate that, when faced with constructive managerial feedback on your work that you didn’t completely agree with, you chose to step away rather than allow us the opportunity to discuss the concern and work toward a resolution together.
We wish you the best in your future endeavors.
