I mean, at the lower level the people who work (or should I say *worked) there were really awesome.
Cons
I was hired early May, leadership spoke of their excitement for the "future of Bizzabo and our team." The week I finished my onboarding, they began talks of "hiring freezes in preparation for the recession." After a total of 6 weeks with the company, they laid me off, alongside 30% of the total company. I don't know how much more I need to say, the complete lack of foresight planning to hire over a dozen new people, only to do mass layoffs 6 weeks later? They almost doubled in size over the past year, got in over their head, and ultimately laid off the majority of the people that had been hired within the past year. Things were an absolute mess, but there were great people and visions for the company, so I had some faith. That was clearly untrue. Another tech company promising that they are different, they have what it takes. They'll be underwater within the next year, at most. Getting laid off isn't easy, but I feel for the people (below leadership level) that were salvaged, since they'll now be taking on an incredible weight for the roles that are gone, with no raise. Also, one of their hindsight goals is always to be a gleaming star on GlassDoor, lol. Hopefully my fellow unemployed comrades come running like I did. Honorable mention: was kicked out of slack no more than 10 minutes after the layoff meeting, and computer wiped in under 45 minutes. God forbid people need to gather their work to show for in interviewing in new roles.
