Pros

Close to the beach. Soccer stadium in parking lot. It doesn’t snow a lot.

Cons

I found the company’s investment in acquisitions and additional buildings in parallel with big layoffs a bit upsetting. While I understand it is a for profit entity, having a pub and soccer field in the parking lot, then building plans for another building on Daniel Island occurring at the same time as we were buying out competitors and laying off staff jarring. Charleston is a nice place, but it sure is difficult to find another tech job in the same area.

Pros

Decent pay, remote work flexibility, you get to work with some very talented folks.

Cons

Used to be proud to work for Blackbaud but that has all but disappeared in last 2 years. Poor and ineffective leadership, false transparency, frequent layoffs, bonuses based off of stock which has been tanking. It's a sinking ship. Avoid at all costs.
