Remote workers are no longer preferred and yet they create more and more remote workers by closing the offices. Layoffs have been a near annual experience for the past couple of years. Everything is about the price of the stock. When it is bad, expect layoffs. To hit numbers, they often lay off the best people who have the most knowledge and do some of the best work. Then knowledge is gone and the people left have to try to figure it all out again. Basically employees do not come first. Hitting numbers comes first.
