Pros
I've been able to work with some extremely collaborative teams that have almost no ego. I feel like this is super rare for most companies. Outside of this, teams are very open to change and are willing to try things out with the mindset of "worst thing that happens is that it doesn't work and we go back to the old ways" This is also the only company I've worked with that will look at leadership when things aren't going as expected and revamp from the strategy level vs placing the blame on the IC's or FLM's. I've seen multiple times where we've done a deep dive and realized that it was a Director level or above leadership issue and termed the leader vs continually cycling through new hire IC's under the guise of previous employees just being bad hires. I've also seen servant leadership being the standard among the leaders I've worked with. Leaders are willing to lean in and do the in the weeds works to ensure that their team members are set up for success. Equity vests very quickly and is part of the S&P 500, which makes it feel like a very secure investment that will have strong ROI the longer you stay with the company. The mission is something that is actually top of mind for leadership and we are actively working to improve the world for disenfranchised groups. I'm still blown away by how we are using BitCoin and virtual wallets to help advocacy groups in volatile places do the work that is needed to literally save peoples lives. Great place to grow your career. I've seen countless times where people will get promoted quickly if they are good at what they do. The org my team supports has promoted over 50 people in the past year.
Cons
Pay is a bit lower than the industry average and there are some hold outs of under performers that are still in seat due to their tenure with the company. I'd also love to see a bigger 401(k) match as it feels a bit below the industry standard. I'd also love to see more growth paths for junior level employees.
