Thank you for being candid even as a current team member — that takes trust, and we don’t take it lightly. We’re glad you value the product and your colleagues; that’s a real foundation. At its core, what drives our CEO is wanting Blocksi to grow and succeed so that everyone on the team can share in that — which is exactly why we reward exceptional work beyond the standard bonuses. So when a current colleague tells us the longer-term picture doesn’t feel right yet, we want to understand why. We are fast-paced and customer-centric, and our CEO is closely involved across the company; we believe that’s been part of our success, and we’re building the management layer around it so growth feels good to be part of, not just to watch. Please consider reaching out to the People team — directly, and without it counting against you in any way. We’d genuinely welcome it. — The Blocksi People Team

Pros

My experience working with Blocksi is positive. The company offers a stable salary with on-time payments and additional vacation days. There are also perks like longer lunch, daily snacks and Friday pizzas. We enjoy a certain degree of autonomy in managing our work, as well as access to extra courses on platforms like Udemy upon request.

Cons

More flexibility for hybrid work would be welcome.

Pros

- Remote work in the US - K-12 Industry that feels fulfilling to work in and helps students

Cons

- Private company, so all decisions are under one person - Owner does not care about the mission - Owner is inexperienced as a CEO, but will still label themselves as CTO.

Thank you for this, and for the years you spent with us. We’re glad the remote setup and the K-12 mission felt meaningful — that mission is, honestly, the heart of why our CEO does this, and we’re sorry if that didn’t always come through in the day-to-day. We hear your core point: that a great deal sits with one person, and that we need stronger structure rather than leadership operating at the front lines. We’d put it this way — our CEO’s deep, hands-on involvement has been part of what’s gotten Blocksi this far, and the work now is building out a management infrastructure that’s fully aligned with the mission so the company doesn’t depend on any single person. That’s an honest work in progress. We’d rather be a place people recommend than a résumé line, and we’d value hearing more from you directly. — The Blocksi People Team
