Pros

The effort that goes into assisting nonprofits is admirable, with regular updates to articles, webinars, classes, and help articles on a wide variety of subjects helpful to the nonprofit sector as well as making the best use of Bloomerang and its services. PTO and benefits aren't terrible.

Cons

Bloomerang has gone rapidly downhill after the JMI investment and Kindful acquisition. Long-discussed and requested improvements to services seemed to be thrown out the window as priorities shifted to merge Bloomerang and Kindful in some meaningful way in an attempt to justify Kindful's purchase. New upgrades and services were pushed out without feedback which has gone on to create customer frustration, and no proper time or resources were given to properly learn and explore new services and features, leading to confusion, miscommunication, and a general misunderstanding of how anything even works. These services come at an additional cost while not adding any substantial features that customers have asked for at best, and stripping away features and tools that our standard services provide at worst. Changes are made to the company and software with a complete disregard of how these changes would affect other departments, throwing them under an already large workload mostly brought on by a refusal to provide any fixes or updates that have been long requested, longer than reasonable turnaround times for other services and requests, and general poor communication practices and expectations between departments. Feedback, suggestions, critiques, and questions are generally disregarded or brushed off entirely. Compensation is described as "competitive" but kept low while expectations continue to climb and more work, knowledge, and skill required to maintain those expectations are piled on to the average workload. Concerns about wages meeting cost of living and inflation have been dismissed without reasonable explanation or expectations changing moving forward. Advancement also no longer seems attainable throughout the company as new roles and requirements are seemingly being made up on the spot, current employees not being given opportunities to qualify, and quickly filling the roles with outside sources. The dramatic shift in tone has left morale low by an ever-increasing workload, an increasingly frustrated and impatient customer base, and an almost complete abandonment of any culture that the company used to have through events, activities, or other distractions to lift spirits. It feels as if we've discarded our values, our employees input and well-being, and the happiness of our current customers in favor of driving up the monetary value of the service and company.

Pros

The product is good and work makes a meaningful impact. Great collaboration with peers and team mates. Work life balance can be good- depending on your team and manager.

Cons

Pay is below market and annual "merit increases" do not at all keep up with cost of living increases. If you aspire for a larger increase you can try to generate enough value for the company by creating far more work for yourself but still unlikely. Promotions are rare outside of yearly reviews. I only know 1 person that has had a direct conversation with a member of the ELT. The CEO is deeply condescending and patronizing with a thin attempt at jocularity. The company works with many environmental non-profits but has no stance on protecting resources while pushing more and more AI usage.
