Pros

Some very nice benefits. You feel great about working to help non-profits. Everyone has a veneer of "we're all in this together". Interview process WAS good, unsure if it still is.

Cons

Some departments lack decent training. You'll be given a demo project then not have it followed up on and expected to be a pro after watching and rewatching the same samples repeatedly before being thrown into the proverbial fire. Not to mention that the project load was insane with processes and programs being used changing so much at the time. The turnover at the time should have been a sign that things would get worse. It's all platitudes and feel good and understanding... for some. Should you have a power outage or lose net access... even if you use time off, they will tell you that you can't and demand you find a means to go out in a freeze and find internet elsewhere. Having to endure spotty internet with clients looks far more unprofessional than rescheduling, I'm just saying. If you have any sort of disability that impacts how you process things, do not bother. They speak so much about being supportive of all of the non-profits they support and their goals but don't believe it. If you are not picture perfect under an intense caseload with the sub-par training given? Scrutinized to hell and treated like an outsider. Managers are nice, but again - everyone seems nice - because the culture is absolutely steeped in toxic positivity and the pretend notion that they just /care so much/ when it's still a numbers game as with any place. If you are fine with trying to figure things out largely on your own and with the feeling that you're surrounded by Stepford Wives in terms of fake smiles? This might be the place for you.

Pros

The product is good and work makes a meaningful impact. Great collaboration with peers and team mates. Work life balance can be good- depending on your team and manager.

Cons

Pay is below market and annual "merit increases" do not at all keep up with cost of living increases. If you aspire for a larger increase you can try to generate enough value for the company by creating far more work for yourself but still unlikely. Promotions are rare outside of yearly reviews. I only know 1 person that has had a direct conversation with a member of the ELT. The CEO is deeply condescending and patronizing with a thin attempt at jocularity. The company works with many environmental non-profits but has no stance on protecting resources while pushing more and more AI usage.
