Culture rapidly slipping away - Senior Software Engineer Bloomerang Employee Review

-- Culture has shifted from empowering non-profits to empowering shareholders. Multiple acquisitions over the last few years, along with heavy turnover on the leadership team, have led to a rapid degradation of the company culture and identity. Growth for the sake of growth benefits only the investors, and is an active detriment to our non-profit customers and our employees. -- Rapid growth and expansion has led to a very vertical company matrix. Higher level leadership feels very exclusive and inaccessible, while being out-of-touch with lower levels. -- Overall Product direction seems to be steering more towards monetization and add-ons rather than enhancing the experience of our paying customers for free. -- Toxic positivity, especially in all-hands meetings. They often don't reflect the reality of the employees doing the work or the experiences our customers are going through. -- Pay is neither competitive nor consistent. They've talked about transparency, but it has mostly been lip service. I likely won't be able to afford working here for much longer unless there are investments into retaining current employees (especially long-tenured ones) over new hires. -- Medical benefits are not the greatest.
