Pros

Most employees are wonderful. The company's mission to help nonprofits is admirable. Remote work is great. Some decent virtual culture events.

Cons

The CEO is driving the company culture into the ground. He is also VERY belittling and once every 6 months or so, he does something that everyone gets upset about, but then questions about it are responded to with a total lack of sympathy or understanding. Morale has gotten very low amongst people who have been around for a while and we're seeing a lot of turnover, both from people choosing to leave and people who are being let go. We pretend questions are welcome when they really aren't. There's a lot of toxic positivity. Salaries are significantly below market rate.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to hear you’ve found value in our mission, the flexibility of remote work, and the people you work alongside—these are core to who we are. We understand that leadership style and communication have a major impact on company culture, and we’re continuously working to ensure that our approach reflects respect, transparency, and our shared mission. We also recognize that maintaining a strong culture during times of change can be challenging. That’s why we’re continuing to improve how we listen to and act on employee feedback. We appreciate your perspective and remain committed to fostering an environment where all employees feel heard, respected, and supported.

Pros

The product is good and work makes a meaningful impact. Great collaboration with peers and team mates. Work life balance can be good- depending on your team and manager.

Cons

Pay is below market and annual "merit increases" do not at all keep up with cost of living increases. If you aspire for a larger increase you can try to generate enough value for the company by creating far more work for yourself but still unlikely. Promotions are rare outside of yearly reviews. I only know 1 person that has had a direct conversation with a member of the ELT. The CEO is deeply condescending and patronizing with a thin attempt at jocularity. The company works with many environmental non-profits but has no stance on protecting resources while pushing more and more AI usage.
