Pros

Great product. Easy work and check in process due to UPC'S being the same. Gold rim, Brown rim, Blue rim (no sugar added and light flavored), and light Blue Rim (yogurts), flavors all carry their own UPC's for scan in process. Didn't know how Blue Bell got away with this but as a driver it sped up the check in process. Trucks are top notch. Usually switched out for new trucks at about 200k which comes up every two years depending on route. My 13-16% bonus every year.

Cons

Insurance is free for empoyee but EXTREMELY!!! expensive for family coverage. $760 a pay period for wife and 4 kids. Have to work in -25-0 temps going in and out of truck. You will get used to it though. Family owned but promotions out in the trade were no problem. Big promotions , TM, Regional, and home office promotions seemed to be family motivated but can't confirm for sure. Start times usually began at 3-4 but had to be off the doc by 5am. Worked M,T-TH,FR, off early on Saturday (4-5 hrs) and off on Sunday. Presently shut down due to listeria out break.

Pros

- Lucrative if you put in enough effort - Gain experience in sales, merchandising, DSD, earn Class B CDL - Holiday bonus - Job stability in a fragile market, consistent paychecks

Cons

- Nepotism - HR not on-site, so things swept under the rug that should be addressed - Low barrier of entry = revolving door of reps/merchandisers - No upward movement unless someone retires or quits, or you relocate - Frustrating receiver/store issues - Lack of communication and support from Territory Managers, Route Supervisors swamped with work and not able to support due to heavy workload
