Pros

Good benefits, good yr end bonus's while I was there, overtime if you wanted it. For the most part, good people to work with. Always expanding, a very large operation at the Brenham facility. Made a GREAT product! Being able to eat all the ice cream that you wanted, in the break rooms. Being able to buy the best ice cream around at a good discounted price. All of this is prior to their crisis of listeria being found in the product. Doing whatever is necessary with changes to get product back on the shelves. They will beat the listeria!

Cons

Below average pay, (but the benefits and bonus's help make up for the pay), to many production supervisors, (several of which that didn't have any people skills what so ever), to much favoritism for a certain college, very few salaried positions, mostly hourly positions. Being hired for doing one type of work, then never being able to do that work. Not much on advancement opportunities.

Pros

- Lucrative if you put in enough effort - Gain experience in sales, merchandising, DSD, earn Class B CDL - Holiday bonus - Job stability in a fragile market, consistent paychecks

Cons

- Nepotism - HR not on-site, so things swept under the rug that should be addressed - Low barrier of entry = revolving door of reps/merchandisers - No upward movement unless someone retires or quits, or you relocate - Frustrating receiver/store issues - Lack of communication and support from Territory Managers, Route Supervisors swamped with work and not able to support due to heavy workload
