Pros
Benefits are good. If you have good supervisors you aren’t micromanaged and get help when needed. The work is pretty straightforward if physically demanding at times
Cons
Pay could be better-hasn’t kept up with inflation over the past couple years. Opportunities for promotion require you take a pay cut (or work significantly more hours for the same annual salary-ie a pay cut), which pretty much means that you’re stuck either taking the pay cut, stagnating as a driver or looking for opportunities elsewhere. Pay for support staff in the office and shipping is abysmal (shipping clerks have left to make more working at McDonald’s). This leads to tons of turnover in those positions requiring drivers and supervisors to pick up the slack and do things like help load trucks and work the office.
