Pros

Its a union shop so there is job security. Everyone makes the same rate at the 5 year mark.

Cons

You can't take the company truck home. NCTI tests are mandatory. Very little room for advancement since its a union shop. Benefits leave a lot to be desired. Must pay for company boots. When you first start you must work Monday-Friday 12:30 pm to 9pm until a spot on dayshift becomes available or you complete all NCTI courses and pass certification tests. When you work 12:30 - 9pm they can really keep you there until 10pm or later. Only one on call guy per week for the whole system that you work in. Company requires you to wear pants even in the summer in attics. Cant have any visible tattoos. Only one piercing allowed per ear.
