Pros
Hotel level employees are great, for the most part. Pay is ok of they don't find a way to replace you with someone cheaper.
Cons
Pay can be fair but raises are something you need to fight for no matter how well you do your job or how much you go above and beyond. You are told no when you also support and do the work of people who don't know what they are doing. These people are not subtle as you will see open positions that are clearly meant to consolidate your responsibilites with other employees' at your level. Start updating your resume. Corporate doesn't allow any autonomy on the property side so if your GM wants to do something nice they will make them take it away just for spite. Employees are not treated by Corporate as valuable team members but as overpaid liabilities with elementary skills anyone can do on the spot. Offshoring everything that isn't nailed down.
