The product we sell is so cheaply made, yet we continue to raise prices. There is no time to train and develop new hires. The company is constantly cutting hours which means we have to train our new people whenever we get the time, management included. The pay is not competitive. There is no support from the DM's. They have anywhere from 10 to 20 stores they have to be accountable for so trying to get any help from the DM is pointless. The company sets unrealistic goals and makes threats when the desired results aren't met. If you don't "preform" they'll get rid of you. The workload is HUGE and often times pointless. They'll schedule 2 window changes, 2 table changes, and an ETA change in one morning and expect it not to interfere with customer service....on 2/2 coverage. Then, often times they'll update these things a couple days later. The company gives little payroll hours which means managers cannot take their vacations or call off. This is not practical for people who go to school or have children or heaven forbid a life outside of work. All credit goes to managers. There is no reward for the associates to make them want to meet all of these crazy goals Endless goals!!! We have to give our sales associates: segment goals, conversion goals, bodybuck goals, text goals...on top of them having to hand out "magalogs" and coupons. They are part time workers, they don't care enough to worry about 5 different goals. The company is so pressed for cash that they barely send the supplies we request and if you need something fixed GOOD LUCK! it has to be dangerous in order for them to send someone to fix it They make us do floorsets when we have none of the product, so we have to improvise and then re-do it once we get the product in. This affects customer service and is a waste of time.
