      Pros

      Ability to work virtual if management likes you, same with schedules, raises, and bonuses. If you are liked all of these things become plusses.

      Cons

      With so many changes in management sometimes they forget about you. Raises get forgotten, projects go missing, reviews don't get done.

      Pros

      For context, I work on the defense side. The work is really fun and exciting with a lot of opportunities to grow. My team is close knit, supportive, and very passionate. Being a part of a union means paid overtime, which is really unusual for software.

      Cons

      Workload is insane. I often work weekends and have pulled 60-80 hour weeks many times. PTO is bare minimum. I have a lot of fun at work, but if I'm putting in startup-level effort, I should not be making well below market rate.
