      Excellent Pay, good benefits although they are getting worse every year. only reasons I stayed as long as I did.

      Cons

      Leadership is terrible, from the tippy top to the bottom level manager. Culture is toxic.

      Pros

      For context, I work on the defense side. The work is really fun and exciting with a lot of opportunities to grow. My team is close knit, supportive, and very passionate. Being a part of a union means paid overtime, which is really unusual for software.

      Cons

      Workload is insane. I often work weekends and have pulled 60-80 hour weeks many times. PTO is bare minimum. I have a lot of fun at work, but if I'm putting in startup-level effort, I should not be making well below market rate.
