Pros

The people that work here are great!

Cons

The recent policy changes made to promotions for level 1s has drastically swayed my view towards the negative about Booz Allen Hamilton. You now must be with the company for 3 years to even be considered for a promotion when in previous cases you could have been here 1 year and recieved a promotion to a Level 2 Consultant. To add to my frustration, Booz Allen plans to hire 300 new level 1s and 2s within the next few months. Why not higher level 1s and promote the current level 1s who are doing an excellent job.

Earlier years felt more mission-focused and employee-centered, while recent organizational shifts, government spending pressures, and increased emphasis on becoming a technology-focused company have created uncertainty for some employees. Frequent changes in priorities, restructuring, and business decisions can make job stability feel less predictable. Employees may sometimes feel disconnected from leadership, and concerns raised through HR or management channels do not always appear to result in meaningful action or transparency.
