Pros

The people. The core values of this organization fit very well with anyone who is passionate about what they do. If you are passionate about your field and work hard, people will notice. The people I work with are all smart and open minded. When you are placed in an environment like this you can't but turn out good work. Professional advancement opportunities such as certifications and tuition assistance (even at Level 1) are competitive for anywhere. The retirement savings program is great and benefits are pretty solid.

Cons

Sometimes waiting to get placed on a contract can be stressful. It's usually not for more than a couple weeks (and you still get paid) but you still feel a little worthless during this time.

The company culture and employee experience have changed significantly in recent years. Earlier years felt more mission-focused and employee-centered, while recent organizational shifts, government spending pressures, and increased emphasis on becoming a technology-focused company have created uncertainty for some employees. Frequent changes in priorities, restructuring, and business decisions can make job stability feel less predictable. Employees may sometimes feel disconnected from leadership, and concerns raised through HR or management channels do not always appear to result in meaningful action or transparency.
