Pros

Every time we have an All-Hands, I'm reminded that I work for something so much bigger than me. BAH continues to hold so much value in their mission, whether it be the mission of the DoD, client mission, or their own mission for their employees. They strive in letting us know our value to the firm. In fact, they heavily promote us to branch off and experience different aspects of work within the company. Their encouragement for us to look for different work to gain more perspective is what I find to be the best about this company.

Cons

I believe my pay could be better. We get an annual raise for inflation but I'm still in need of a second job to be comfortable with finances. Healthcare is expensive, as it is a high deductible health plan. My least favorite aspect is the company's new pay schedule- semi-monthly but our paycheck amounts will fluctuate depending on when the pay period ends, between 72-96 hours. I wish they could change to bi-weekly instead.

Pros

Strong mission-focused culture with meaningful work supporting national security missions. Great exposure to diverse projects, talented teammates, flexible work arrangements, and opportunities to develop skills across security, intelligence, cyber, and consulting. Benefits and professional development resources are solid.

Cons

The company culture and employee experience have changed significantly in recent years. Earlier years felt more mission-focused and employee-centered, while recent organizational shifts, government spending pressures, and increased emphasis on becoming a technology-focused company have created uncertainty for some employees. Frequent changes in priorities, restructuring, and business decisions can make job stability feel less predictable. Employees may sometimes feel disconnected from leadership, and concerns raised through HR or management channels do not always appear to result in meaningful action or transparency.
