Thank you - we are glad you are an owner and willing to share constructive feedback. Border States has a strong history of promoting from within to leadership roles. We want each employee-owner to have a development plan that supports their career ambitions. As a first step, please speak with your supervisor about your career to lay out a plan. Your regional Human Resource Manager and the HR team in Fargo will be there to support as well. Feel free to reach out to me directly if you have any questions. Mike Busch - VP of Human Resources

Pros

I worked there for 13 years. Not all for Border States. We ended up "Merging" with BS around 7 years into my Employment, With all of the hopes and dreams promised that culture would never change. In fact that is WHY they wanted us to be a part of their team. During my time there I really enjoyed the people that I worked around in my office, and learning new things and helping others.

Cons

Flash forward to the last 3 years of my employment with BS. We have moved into a new office that is 2-1/2 times further away than our original location was. Culture has taken a 180 degree turn(if you can call it a culture anymore) All of the sudden your weeks are more full of random "Lunch and Learn" meetings and various "what went wrong here office conversations". Management doesn't even have enough time to manage due to consistently being on conference calls with whatever new position the "Board" has decided to whip out of thin air.
