Pros

A very large company with a small business culture. If you want to evolve and grow this company is ready to help you get where you want to be. Always thinking ahead makes this company an Industry leader.

Cons

10,000 Baby Boomers are retiring every day for the next 10 years as this happens we need to be ready for those coming into the workforce. Generations will need to learn how to work together as well as Innovate new ideas.

Pros

I worked there for 13 years. Not all for Border States. We ended up "Merging" with BS around 7 years into my Employment, With all of the hopes and dreams promised that culture would never change. In fact that is WHY they wanted us to be a part of their team. During my time there I really enjoyed the people that I worked around in my office, and learning new things and helping others.

Cons

Flash forward to the last 3 years of my employment with BS. We have moved into a new office that is 2-1/2 times further away than our original location was. Culture has taken a 180 degree turn(if you can call it a culture anymore) All of the sudden your weeks are more full of random "Lunch and Learn" meetings and various "what went wrong here office conversations". Management doesn't even have enough time to manage due to consistently being on conference calls with whatever new position the "Board" has decided to whip out of thin air.
