Pros
- Located Centraly - Good and ergonomic office equipment - Variable time schedule
Cons
- Discrimination. Although it is a Global Business Centre of an American Company the main communication language is Portuguese. New HR implementations are normaly Portuguese aswell. Nearly all management positions and 100% of all promotions are for Portuguese nationalities. International employees are mostly leaving and beeing replaced by Portuguese natives. - There are no international carreer opportunities, only a few opportunities locally. - The management is really top-down. It is not respected to place suggestions or to comment on decisions. This way you create a culture where people are afraid to fail or to try something different. This is completely against Bose believes. Bose Lisbon does not fit in the Bose culture. - The communication is horrible. HR is feeding rumours on a daily basis. If you ask a question they just tell you wat you want to hear which is most often not the truth. This creates a culture where nobody trust one other. They will continuosly hold a carrot in front of you. After some time you don´t believe in that carrot anymore.
