Pros

The mission of the BMC is still a positive, but the current TA culture makes it difficult to identify many other pros.

Cons

Over the past year, the Talent Acquisition team has had two different leaders, and morale has continued to decline. The primary focus has become fill volume and speed, with weekly rankings of recruiters and their fill counts shared across the team. While metrics are important, this approach doesn’t account for the fact that some recruiters manage significantly harder-to-fill positions than others. Success often feels measured by quantity rather than the complexity or quality of hiring. There also seems to be much less emphasis on finding mission-driven candidates, following consistent processes, and maintaining compliance than there was previously. Many employees appear hesitant to raise concerns because they worry about potential retaliation. The integration of the newly acquired hospitals has added another layer of disorganization, making an already challenging environment even more difficult. Career growth opportunities within the department also feel very limited
