Pros

Working at the BU IT Help Center is a decent student job. They are very flexible with scheduling and most of the staff members you interact with are pleasant.

Cons

Within the past year many of the full time staff members have left the Service Desk division of the ITHC with almost no new hires. Because of this the quality of service has gone down, and the students are the first ones to hear about it when someone calls in because they are getting horrible service. Its really frustrating to get yelled at every third time you pick up the phone, especially when you know the person on the other end is perfectly justified in being frustrated with the sub-par level of service.

Pros

Great benefits! Lots of sick time holidays off. and summers are very laid back. Wish I could have stayed longer as I saw my time there as a great career opportunity. But toxicity, harassment and layoffs made me rethink staying

Cons

Management is incredibly toxic. Even after union grievances, sexual harassment claims and even a warning from the dean, managers continue to abuse staff. Incredibly sad seeing as Boston University rather lay off good employees than hold anyone from management accountable for their actions.
