Pros
Your direct co workers are great. The benefits are better than average. The office is very nice. The hardware is awesome.
Cons
The core platform for Digital Banking 3.0 is busted. Management will force you to work weekends and holidays. Management will deny your vacation to meet there half sold software and over promised schedule. Management will call you any hour of any day, night, and weekend and ask you to build some insane piece of functionality in 12 hours. Management thinks every bug can be fixed in 4 hours or less, despite the massive technical debt they have already leveraged on the platform. You can not focus on one thing. You are forced to work on dev support for one month on a crappy legacy platform that only the old school devs with a ton of tribal knowledge can figure out. You will spent about 70 percent of your time switching and building environments working on both the front end and back end, and everyone is expected to be full stack. Agile is dead here. You have no input. You are assigned work based on what your scrum master thinks they know.
