Pros
Pay and benefits were okay. I learned what it was like to work in banking. A few people were really great to work with.
Cons
My first week a manager from another team started yelling and berating me for something that I had no part in. I told him he had no right to talk like that, which (to great hilarity) enraged him further. I reported this to my manager. The yelling manager was soon promoted. He’s still there afaik. Other cons: -High attrition without roles being backfilled. -Antiquated technology practices and stack. - Lots of legacy cruft. - This company got dragged into the remote era kicking and screaming. As such there was always a wistful longing for the days of the office. Remote workers should take heed. Maybe things have improved since the new CEO started but I wouldn’t want to go back and find out. But I lost a lot of sleep (literally due to a brutal on-call rotation) and my role at BT started me down the path of burnout. For these reasons I have little positive regard for my time at Bottomline.
