Pros

(kind of) flexible scheduling, you can work from home (if you can get their outdated operating system to work on your computer), you get reimbursed for mileage (but not wear and tear on your car), everyone hates working there so there's always someone to complain to

Cons

I could speak for hours about how much I hated this job. No joke, this is a mental health care facility and I'm pretty sure I have genuine PTSD from working there. You might think it'll be a good work/life balance to be able to work from home/get paid for drive time/create your own schedule/etc but you could not be more wrong. You will be stressed every minute of every day and no one in charge will care. You will like this job if you 1. Like to have no idea what you're doing all the time 2. Like to be told what to do by people who have even less of an idea what they're doing 3. Love crying 4. Enjoy the login sound on Windows 2003 5. Are fine with wondering if you're committing medicare fraud 6. Appreciate the irony of helping others with their mental health while absolutely destroying your own 7. Want to really get a great look at the abysmal state of mental healthcare in america 8. Desire to be constantly lied to by both your direct supervisor and also the organization as a whole 9. Flourish in a state of chaos and disorganization 10. Have completely given up hope and want a career that fits your mentality If all of the above sounds like you, go ahead and apply because they'll hire almost literally ANYONE with a college degree. A woman dropped the f-bomb during my interview and she got hired. They'll tell you you got hired because you're "special" as an excuse to not train you but it's all lies.

Pros

It was good until it wasn't.

Cons

They care more about the bottom dollar. They preach core values but behind closed doors it's false. I needed time off for my child's own mental health concerns and was denied because they said my absence would impact the Financials. They told me I needed to have someone else care for my daughter who was struggling. This place is not what they seem. The stress they put on staff is evident by their first day badge photo and how they look 6 months in. Health concerns, weight concerns and more.
