Pros
Was at Bozzuto for about a year and a half as a Concierge... it is a great place to start, but unless you truly connect with the Property Manager and their boss, it may very well be a dead end job. My 3% pay raise did not even cover the increase in health costs, and despite the fact that I was excellent at my job, there seemed to be no place to go.
Cons
As a Concierge, you may well receive 100 - 200 packages daily for a 300 unit complex. Some of these packages may include a set of tires, a kitchen set, dresser, chair for the kitchen, 9x11 foot carpet and so on. You need a strong back and the ability to handle a busy job plus process in packages. And there's drycleaning, that also will require lifting as well.
